Time To Celebrate: WrestleMania XXVIII On-Sale Party

MIAMI – Thousands of members of the WWE Universe flocked to Bayfront Park for the WrestleMania XXVIII ticket on-sale party Friday night! (PHOTOS)

Eager for the highly-anticipated WrestleMania XXVIII – which is April 1, 2012, at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium – the WWE Universe had the opportunity to get their tickets the night before going on sale to the public. They also had the chance to meet WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends, such as Rey Mysterio, Kelly Kelly and WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter.

“It’s great to be back in Miami, the home of WrestleMania XXVIII on April 1 where The Rock takes on John Cena,” Sgt. Slaughter said. “Am I excited about WrestleMania XXVIII? You bet. I’m ready!”

Sarge’s prediction for the highly-anticipated match? “I’m going to go with The Rock, because I trained him!”

After buying their WrestleMania XXVIII tickets, the WWE Universe enjoyed autograph signings, live entertainment from the All Star Band and a Family Fun Zone –including visits from the Florida Marlins and Miami Dolphins mascots – at the downtown Miami party on the waters of Biscayne Bay.

While Rosa Mendes greeted many members of the WWE Universe in Miami in Spanish, proclaiming “Viva WrestleMania XXVIII!” Kelly Kelly felt even more at home at the party. The Diva is particularly excited for WrestleMania XXVIII because it’s being held in her home state.

“I’m a Florida girl. All of my family lives here, so they’re excited,” Kelly Kelly said with a smile. The former Divas Champion can hardly wait for April 1.

“I have to say I’m looking forward to John Cena vs. The Rock – that’s going to be the ultimate!”

Her prediction? “John Cena!”

Watch out, Kelly Kelly, because The Bella Twins are ready to take the Sunshine State by storm in April.

“This is South Beach – the party is all day and all night. We’ll be shaking our booties down here,” Nikki said.

“And hopefully beating up on all the other Divas,” Brie warned.

WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart delighted the WWE Universe in Miami, bringing his trademark energy and flashy bullhorn to Bayfront Park. “Strap on your seatbelts, boys and girls, because WrestleMania XXVIII is going to be unbelievable, I am telling you that!”
