In the high speed thriller Drive, Ryan Gosling stars as Driver, a professional wheel man for hire on the wild streets of Los Angeles. When Driver takes to the road, there is nobody better.

CM Punk is one of the most prominent Superstars in the turbulent world of WWE. His vehicle of dominance is his “pipe bomb” microphone. When he revs up his sharp tongue, he leaves his adversaries in the dust.

Driver has two distinct sides to his persona. By day, his skill at the wheel allows him to thrive in a place of legitimacy, working as a stunt driver in the action-packed world of the movies. At night, he kicks things into a whole new gear, steering getaway cars through the nefarious, yet thrilling criminal underworld.

There are also two sides to Punk. Armed with a tremendous natural ability in the ring and a Straight Edge discipline, Punk takes his rightful place among WWE’s Superstar elite. Yet The Second City Saint also has a dark side – a rebellious nature that refuses to conform, often putting him on the wrong side of authority.

Though he is a loner by nature, Driver can’t help falling in love with his beautiful but vulnerable neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), a young mother dragged into a dangerous criminal world by the return of her ex-convict husband Standard (Oscar Isaac).

Believing he is a cut above the rest, Punk – like Driver – also goes it alone. Yet his outspoken egocentricity often masks the tremendous respect he feels for the squared circle. And since he truly loves his job but does not like the people-in-charge, chaos is sure to ensue.

When a heist operation with Blanche (Christina Hendricks) – intended to help Standard pay off protection money – spins out of control, Driver finds himself driving to defend the girl he loves, being chased by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals, played by Albert Brooks and Ron Perlman.

Punk does some stealing too, leaving WWE in possession of the WWE Title after defeating John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank. Though he would eventually lose the championship to Mr. Money in the Bank Alberto Del Rio at SummerSlam, his acts of insurrection put Punk at odds with a slew of formidable foes, including Cena and WWE COO Triple H.

When the gangsters reveal that they’re after more than the bag of money in his trunk – that they’re coming straight for Irene and her son – Driver is forced to shift gears and go on the offense.

Despite his actions, Punk has a valuable currency in his possession as well. He is simply good for business, the reason COO Triple H re-signed him in the first place. Now that he is back, he too is going on the offense, cruising into a collision course with whoever gets in his way.
